about

Parallelism, otherwise known as aspect./Sage Taylor and previously known as Textural Being, hails from the Pacific northwest. His debut for Recycled Plastics is the first of several scheduled installments in his own newly-minted subcatalogue, which simply bears the label P. Unlike the ambient house of aspect. or the dub techno of Textural Being (see: BC30 / The Sixth Gap, Textural Being's final release), Taylor's work as Parallelism covers a broader spectrum of ambient and drone music, warm glitch and reduced minimalistic dub. To our ears, this is fresh, vibrant music, truly organic and electronic at the same time, and easily inhabits a world preceded by giants like GAS, Vladislav Delay, Pole and Variant. A feast for the ears and the (closed) eyes, intimate and gentle.

The Parallelism subcatalogue will continue with limited edition cassettes, possibly with CD-R punctuations at key points.
