Lamont Kohner is Patrick Benolkin, currently residing in Boise, Idaho, and possibly better known to many of you by the names Electricwest or Eluder. So far, Lamont Kohner has only issued one album - Willamette Dubs, at the ever-loving Wil Ru Records - which our very own Analog Botanist mastered and curated a second disc of remixes for. Lamont has not stayed inactive since that release, rather, he has grown a rather large catalog of unreleased works intended as singles, and what better place to issue them than here at Recycled Plastics? So, with absolutely no hesitation, we set the man up with his own catalog (K, for those still wondering) wherein we will steadily drip out Lamont Kohner's singles, stopping occasionally along the way to collect them into special limited edition CD-R collections with extra tracks. Opening the gates for the new catalog is Dissident, a monochromatic techno rock climber of a track, doing what Lamont Kohner does best, which is slowly filling the room with steam until it's ready to explode, and then deploying state of the art depressurization techniques that masquerade as rusting chord shapes swinging around your center of gravity like a carousel. In short, this is high-pressure music for high fidelity systems, and these tracks will not let you forget this. Be careful, stay safe and enjoy!

W/P by Patrick Benolkin. Mastered by The Analog Botanist. Cover design by Ginger Aribarn. This is Recycled Plastics number K1. Now stop reading this and fuck off to that play button up there.
Astonishingly good electronic tunes for a tenner and for a good cause. As well as titans 808 State, Autechre, Plaid, B12, etc... the lesser known artists shine. Get and enjoy! Played Quandary Wand at my wedding after Halcyon by Orbital. :) Egg Wizard
