Hailing from sunburnt San Diego, waves of sad magic are emanating up like heat off a hot street, and bittersweet blue-skies flow through the eponymous album by DUSKLARK. We haven't done a record like this in some time at RP, and by "like this" we mean that very unique, warm and cozy bedroom electronic music that lives inside mid-fi cassette ranges and muted melancholy. Think early Milieu, Freescha's "Kids Fill The Floor", Ten and Tracer, pre-breaks Mike P and the textured downsample-crunch of Casino Versus Japan, all bundled up in a breezy lite-house vehicle that makes effective use of electro-tinted drum machines like the 808 and HR16 alongside plainsung sine tone basslines and wobblyheaded melodies bubbling over all corners like citrus Summertime orange soda pop. Introspective music for outdoorsy park walkers, headphone micro-symphonix and smart house grooves that fit into the gloved hand of a drowsy-eyed DJ set in the parking lot of a 24-hour sushi bar. DUSKLARK has arrived, and he'll be taking the sunshine back with him when he goes. Get some before it's all gone...

**TIP**: The limited edition CD-R is jam-packed with 63 minutes of Dusklark, including 10 (!!!) bonus tracks only included on the disk, one of which is a downer night-bus ride back home - the 9-minute Coppice Halifax BLUE PAYPHONE remix!
