Axs continues his 'Secrets' trilogy of unreleased works from the archives of past years with Evergreen Secrets, an even more groove-oriented set of tracks than Rosewood's subdued technoid forms. Pulsing shapes of dub chords and restrained minimal techno sensibilities allow Axs the space needed to organically explore a colorful landscape of sound, all while buoyant drum machine work and utilitarian bass continually anchor his deep compositions. Gracefully mastered by The Analog Botanist to ensure continuity between recordings that are often years apart, and lovingly represented as a very special addition to the Recycled Plastics catalog. Stay tuned for the third and final volume, Midnight Secrets, in 2014...
