Media Them finally returns to RP, after the silent success of An Expensive Vase and Logical Love, with Inside The Lines. Continuing down the path of the undeniable and unique Media Them sound, approaching a mental centerpoint via repetition, loops used as medicine, sound applied shamanistically, audio editing as alchemy. An addressing of just what one would like to say when they sit down to create anything at all. Inside The Lines operates a bit more playfully and melodically than the previous two MT releases, although it too begins to gravitate toward pure warm emptiness and isolationism at certain points. As we wrote before about Media Them, these are not songs, so much as windows, which each provide a macrocosmic view of something basic, calming, yet curious. With Media Them, we are able to assume the viewpoint of the creator perfectly. We see what he sees, we hear as he hears. This is a process of musical and atmospheric elimination, and each window can be repeated infinitely until you feel you're able to move forward.
