AQ Acid Crew debuts at Recycled Plastics with the evocative Live Cuts Vol. 1. AQ is a talented young man named Erik who has a lovely way with his machines, coaxing the most organic movements and the warmest body language from acid lines and propulsive drums. Live Cuts 1, as you might imagine, is the first in a series of releases, all recorded completely live while AQ explores sonic dimensions beyond our own. At times sounding like the most authentic traditionalist acid, and at others, exercising minimal techno muscle, Live Cuts are stream of consciousness electronic music that works well in the club or the bedroom.
