A white 5" recordable disc, printed and duplicated via an Imation D20, held inside a sturdy white paperboard jacket, with custom purple text decals on the front and back cover. Ships in a clear plastic cast polypropylene sleeve, with a flap on the back side, to keep your sonic artifact dust and moisture-free. Dérive Dub is a new moniker for Dimitar Dodovski, elsewhere known for his varied works at labels such as Databloem and Shimmering Moods, or for his Moss Garden collaboration with Lee Norris of Metamatics and Norken. Despite all of these prior iterations, Dérive Dub feels entirely fresh and vibrant, an atmosphere of its own.

Topically, it reminds us of playful analog meanderings from Pub, Chain Reaction, Russ Gabriel and of course the ubiquitous early Warp and Rephlex catalogs. Beyond those mentions, however, it dives a bit deeper and connects to more Detroit and Berlin grades of techno and ambient music, which would appeal to fans of the dub techno and braindance sides of the RP catalog.

A perfect playmate with the new Brother Blue EP, Notte Variations offers five excursions for intimate nighttime drives, bedroom rest (or recreation) and of course the dancefloor. Listeners who support the limited edition CD-R version of Notte Variations will be rewarded with a disc-exclusive Coppice Halifax remix of Notte 3!
